Rachel Quilty’s Background
They say your life experiences are aligned to your life purpose. I am incredibly fortunate that l found my true purpose. I have been branded with a mission so to speak.
For over a decade I was an Industrial Relations Advocate. I represented employer’s in disputes, wages claims, enterprise bargaining negotiations, unfair dismissal cases and discrimination claims. My role was incredibly dynamic and strategic in nature. And often it was about being seen in the right place at the right time with the right image. Strategic image management and personal branding was essential to my career.
As a result my personal brand and professional profile allowed me to become one of the highest paid as well as youngest IR Managers in Australia. I have appeared in some of the largest dispute proceedings in Australia. My legal budgets were almost half a million a year which meant I was responsible for some enormous negotiations and strategic outcomes.
I was fascinated by the psychology of human behavior and the importance of strategic image management in negotiations and sales. I very intentionally altered my professional image dependent on my audience. If it was in the Industrial Court or chairing a meeting of CEO’s, I appeared in smart traditional business and behaved accordingly. To negotiating with the Unions in safety boots, trousers and blue collar work shirts.
I later went on to study image management, branding and the psychology of image, color, and buying behavior in an effort to build my knowledge.
And really it is as a result of that study, slowly building my profile and brand awareness as well as the press we’ve generated I am now Australia’s leading Personal Brand Strategist. I have just finished my second book and the latest book Brand Yourself will be released in the New Year. And I am currently researching my third book, Brand Yourself a Celebrity.
My expertise in personal branding is unearthing your true brand and strategically and systematically designing and building your professional profile to leverage your personal brand to become the authority in your industry.
A lot of people ask me do I work with celebrities, and while I work with media personalities etc. my objective is to make each of my clients a celebrity within their own field. To build their professional profile sufficiently that they become the go to person in their industry for media comment and industry leadership.

A Love Story…
Some people hear the knocking of their dreams and never answer the door. Some people tentatively open the door but close it, the risk too great. Some people, despite their fears answer the knocking door of their heart. Those who follow their heart despite their fear are the brave. To do what they love, the warriors in modern times. Courage is, defined as taking action despite fear. Michael Quilty, you are my warrior. You are courageous. I love you so much. I am so proud of you. I will always love you. Your loving wife, Rachel.
